ON THE NYC TRI-STATE AREA PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE NEW YORK BLOOD CENTER
As a journalist, spoken word artist, author, publisher, and advocate, Stacey is proud of the work she has created and is looking forward to releasing new material.
After publishing Pieces of Me (Amazon.com) – a Poetry/Memoirs book in 2006, Sottile spends her time raising her kids while defeating sickle cell disease (SCD) and promoting its causes.
Diagnosed with SCD at eleven-months-old, when the doctors told her she wouldn’t live to see her twenties, after a brief stint of hopelessness, Stacey decided to choose to live a full & vibrant life.
“I owe it all to God,” she says, discussing her faith.
Born and raised in Corona, Queens, NY, this busy wife and mother of two boys began performing spoken word in New York City venues in the 90’s.
Currently a spokesperson for the New York Blood Center (NYBC), Stacey writes speeches and appears on Television, Radio & Print promotions.

Her sickle cell advocacy volunteerism allows her to bring her campaign to encourage blood donations to audiences across the New York area.
(United Nations 1st World Sickle Cell Day – NY, NY)
Speaking before the Mayor Bloomberg Administration, meeting at City Hall, and writing a speech, which words inspired a campaign that appeared on the Windows of the World – New York Time Square Toshiba’s gigantic Vision Screen – are a few of Sottile’s recent achievements in her role as an activist. .
Sottile’s children’s story, “Guess Who? Mama Pooh!” is loosely based on her life, and is about a little girl surviving sickle cell disease.
It takes place in Queens, New York. GWMP is Stacey’s way of paying homage to her family, friends, doctors, nurses, police officers, and all of the folks who are responsible for her survival.
“The Mis-Adventures of Zaire”
Sottile uses New York City as her back drop again, in the “Mis-Adventures of Zaire,” series.
A story about a kid named Zaire, who is a pet detective.
This is a fascinating tale that took the author about seven years to complete. Zaire’s NYC’s friends & neighbors draw you in from the start.
Most of the methods Zaire use to solve crimes committed primarily involving animals is done by his ability to communicate with the city’s people and creatures.
Reviews of this story have been made by people who are renowned artists, authors, and film industry pioneers. All who have read this story spoke of the great creative writing, story telling, and said it has potential for mass success.
